New Transmission – First Drive

A few weeks back- I noticed the transmission was “throwing out of gear” during hard acceleration.

When I got around to pulling the transmissions out- I notice the bellhousing was literally broken… and- most of the mounting ears were broken off.

Rear main seal parts and tools. While the transmission was being shipped to TCI for repairs, I decided to replace the rear main seal. Here are the parts and tools used.

Rear cover off.

Installing new seal. Installing new seal, with fancy tool.

Seal installed, flywheel torqued. New seal installed, and completed. Flywheel torqued down.

Here is a video of popping the new transmission's cherry. Includes a little bit of boost thrown in there.
